History
Established in 2002, RockCorps evolved from a concept executed by the Greenbucks Foundation that began in 1995.
Boost Mobile RockCorps (BMRC) launched in the summer of 2005. Since then our "Around the Way Revolution" has motivated 16,000+ young people throughout the U.S. to get involved, connect with their community and become a part of a youth movement for social change.
In 2007 we are even bigger. Los Angeles, Oakland, Miami, Atlanta, Houston, Chicago, Minneapolis, Detroit, Portland, Baltimore, Philadelphia,Washington DC and New York. 175+ volunteer projects. Concerts at the Kodak Theatre, the Fox Theatre, Radio City Music Hall and points in between.

Radio City Music Hall!
Following the final project of the 2006 program at Brooklyn Banks skatespot, BMRC volunteers began lining up as early as 3 p.m. to wait for the doors to open to Radio City Music Hall. All their hard work paid off for the five thousand-plus volunteers who gave their time cleaning up the communities in which they live. When they were admitted at 7:30 PM, it didn’t matter if they were waiting to see T.I. or Panic! at the Disco perform, the crowd was ready for the show to start.
Nick Cannon played host to the New York crowd, and first up on the bill was Nelly who started the show by performing the hits "Grillz" with surprise guest Paul Wall and "Dilemma" (during which he brought a more-than-willing volunteer onstage to sing the duet with him) and you couldn't hear yourself think over the din of the screaming crowd.
The show just kept rockin! With hit songs "Milkshake" and "Bossy", Kelis rocked the crowd and fueled the mayhem when she was joined onstage by hubby Nas. Harlem's own Young B and DJ Webstar made a surprise performance to sing the summer anthem "Chicken Noodle Soup" which had the crowd making it rain and clearing it out in the aisles. Performers Don Omar, Fabolous, Young Jeezy and Taking Back Sunday, kept the crowd keyed up as they waited for Panic At The Disco! and T.I. to close out the evening. For the final act, T.I. brought thirty lucky volunteers onstage to help him perform his hit "What You Know."

2005
In 2005 RockCorps teamed up with Boost Mobile to further bring the necessity of volunteerism to the masses. Boost Mobile is dedicated to boosting the lifestyle of today's youth and partnering with young people to connect to their community is a natural fit for their brand. In Boost, RockCorps found the perfect partner to bring this program to a national stage. The pairing has created Boost Mobile RockCorps. Together, Boost Mobile and RockCorps are leveraging the transforming energy of music and youth to challenge the notion of America's so-called "age of declining volunteerism."
Evidence indicates that young people are twice as likely to volunteer again after being part of this type of program. Music has the power to bring people together and Boost Mobile RockCorps is channeling this power as a catalyst for making volunteering cool and relevant to today's youth.
